Hiring Process

Applying for a certified or support staff position with the District:

  • Complete the district application for the position in which you are interested.
  • Submit a current resume (required for certified positions).
  • Upon completion, applications will be reviewed. Based on district needs, necessary interviews will be scheduled. Selected candidates will be contacted via email, phone, or Zoom for interviews as vacancies occur.
  • Applicants interested in certified positions must possess at minimum a bachelor’s degree and must hold or be eligible for a valid Missouri teaching certificate.

    Reports To: Facilities Director 

    Starting Salary: $15.50/hour, Full-time

    Position Summary: Responsible for routine cleaning and light maintenance during evening hours in order to maintain a clean, safe, and secure environment for students, staff, and community members

    Essential Duties: 

    • Clean classrooms, offices, hallways, restrooms, locker rooms, and common areas. 
    • Sweep, mop, scrub, wax, and vacuum floors; empty trash and recycling. 
    • Sanitize restrooms, wipe desks and high-touch surfaces, restock supplies. 
    • Set up/tear down rooms for events and meetings. 
    • Report maintenance issues, safety concerns, or vandalism. 
    • Perform minor repairs and operate custodial equipment safely. 
    • Assist with snow removal or weather-related duties as needed. 

    Qualifications: 

    • High school diploma or equivalent preferred. 
    • Custodial or maintenance experience preferred. 
    • Ability to operate cleaning equipment and follow safety procedures. 
    • Strong attention to detail, reliability, and ability to work independently. 

    Physical Requirements: 

    • Stand and walk for extended periods; frequent bending, lifting (up to 50 lbs), reaching, and climbing. 
    • Ability to work in varying environmental conditions. 

    Work Schedule: 

    • Evening shift (typically after 2:30 p.m.). 
    • Occasional overtime for special events or emergencies.

    SUBSTITUTE CUSTODIANS:

    The Morgan County R-II School District in Versailles, Missouri is now hiring Substitute Custodians.

    Base pay is $15.50. 

    Assist as needed with maintaining a clean, safe, and secure environment for students, staff, and community members. Performing routine cleaning, light maintenance, and security duties during day or evening hours when available to substitute.

  • SUBSTITUTE TEACHERS:

    The district is always looking for qualified candidates to substitute for our current certified teaching staff. If you are interested in substituting, you must first complete a Support Teaching Application and turn it in to Danielle Johnson, Secretary to the Superintendent of Schools, at the Central Administrative Offices.

    $120 – Substitute Teacher Daily Rate

    $140 – Certified Substitute Teacher Daily Rate

    $236 – Substitute Teacher Long-Term Daily Rate for more than 10 consecutive days (other rules may apply)

  • TRANSPORTATION POSITIONS:

    BUS MECHANIC:
    The Morgan County R-II School District is now accepting applications for School Bus Mechanic.
     
    Contract: 12-month, Hourly Position
     
    This position will be responsible for:
    • Maintenance and repair of all district vehicles

     

    Qualifications:

    • A minimum of a high school diploma (or equivalent)
    • Experience with diesel motor repair/maintenance is required
    • Missouri Commercial Drivers License (CDL) with Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) endorsement is required or must be willing to obtain
    • Must pass school bus physical and drug testing as required
     
    Salary depends on experience. Full benefits including, paid leave, vacation, retirement and health insurance are available.

    Morgan County R-II is hiring substitute bus drivers.

     

    No CDL? No problem! We provide training, and our certified trainer can help you earn your CDL with School Bus (S) and Passenger (P) endorsements.
