DISTRICT COMMUNICATIONS

 

The district’s Communications Director plays a key role in supporting the Technology Department and other district offices/departments by overseeing and coordinating projects that enhance the district's communications efforts. This work helps further the district’s mission and upholds its core values.

The Communications Director’s general responsibilities are:

  • strategic communication planning,
  • assist district administration with community engagement (e.g., events, surveys, etc.)
  • assist district administration with crisis communication/emergency and planning,
  • assist district administration with media relations,
  • assist district administration with staff recognition,
  • branding,
  • chair communications committee,
  • development of press releases and news features,
  • manage district notification systems,
  • social media, video production, and web development
