Temporary Road Closure to Accommodate Roundabout Construction

The Morgan County R-II School District has been told by MoDOT that Westview Drive, along Highway 5 near B&W Graphics, will be closed starting tomorrow, December 10. Crews need to finish more work near the new roundabout. MoDOT shared that this closure may last at least a few weeks.

During this time, traffic for Versailles Elementary and Versailles Middle School will stay the same, however we appreciate your patience.

Versailles High School students and parents may use:

• the open part of Westview Drive near the Outdoor Addiction parking lot off of W. Newton Street, or

• The main entrance near McDonald’s

All bus traffic will enter and exit utilizing the entrance by McDonald’s. If your child rides the bus, please expect possible delays during afternoon drop-off times. Buses may take longer to leave campus as they move safely through or around the construction area. If you have any questions, please reach out to your student’s bus driver.

Please allow extra travel time in the morning so your student arrives on time and is not late. If you are attending events at the high school, please use the alternative entrances listed above.

We also ask everyone to use extra care when driving near or around the school or when using the alternate routes during the construction.
