Welcome to the Morgan County R-II School District Technology Department. The mission of the Morgan County R-II School District Technology Department is to support the overall district mission by providing technological and communications-related guidance to support the students, faculty, staff, and administration of the Morgan County R-II School District with the utmost concern for creating an environment that is safe, secure, and focused on inquiry-based learning through the use of technology in order to enable students to achieve Tiger Excellence.

- Handles day-to-day operations of the department and supervises computer technicians.
- Works with the district's Superintendent and Curriculum Director to guarantee district technology planning and purchasing.
- Manages district network administration including network, systems, and information engineering.
- Manages device updates and allocation, as well as creation of usernames & passwords.
- Coordinates and manages district Erate funding.
- Manages security (doors/cameras), Google, Clever, online textbook access, and VoIP systems.

- Works with Technology Coordinator and Curriculum Director in the process of technology planning for district.
- Works with Curriculum Director to support various student, teacher, support staff, and administrative staff in use and integration of district technology tools, instructional strategies, and initiatives.
- Supports district through coordination of Student Information Systems (SIS), student enrollment and registration, Tyler Pulse, MOSIS and CRDC reporting.
- Assists district administration in the area of communications through development and creation of publications/media, management of the district website, mobile app, social media pages, and use of School Messenger alert system.
Technology Support
Technology Technicians troubleshoot and repair various computer-related equipment and software, including PCs, Chromebooks, Smartboards, and other Interactive Panels. They also specialize in areas like 1:1, security cameras, AV equipment, and more. Technicians are generally deployed to district buildings and offices via our technology help desk system.
