Construction Leads to Some Changes in High School Student Drop-off & Pick-Up Routines and Procedures and Parking at the VHS Parking Lot
Due to the construction of the district’s FEMA Tornado Shelter/Performing Arts Center, there will be some changes to student drop-off/pick-up routines and procedures for the 2015-2016 school year. The changes will take place mainly in the Versailles High School parking lot area, which is located behind the Versailles Elementary building. Parents/guardians dropping off or picking up students who attend the Versailles Elementary and Versailles Middle School buildings will continue to utilize the same route previously utilized. However, we ask that parents needing to only drop-off or pick-up students who attend Versailles High School to enter the high school parking lot area by way of Westview Drive (by B&W Graphics). Versailles High School students should also enter the Versailles High School parking lot in the same manner. Versailles High School faculty and staff should park behind the high school building. If you are a parent/guardian who needs to drop-off/pick-up a student who attends Versailles High School after dropping off/picking up a student who attends school at either the elementary or middle school building, you may utilize the road that runs along the side of the Versailles Middle School building and car dealership to get to the Versailles High School parking lot for drop-off/pick-up of your additional student. They may also choose to leave the campus and enter into the Versailles High School parking lot via Westview Drive.
If you have questions/concerns regarding traffic flow for drop off/pick up of students who attend Versailles High School, you may contact the Assistant Superintendent’s office by calling (573)378-2556.
